Eye
Make it clearer
The eye is not a single structure. It is made up of different parts that work together to begin the process of vision.
Toward the front are the cornea and lens, which help focus light. At the back is the retina, the tissue that senses that light. This card locates the main parts; how they turn light into signals belongs in the separate card on eye function.
In brief
The eye is made up of different parts that work together to begin the process of vision.
Among its main parts, the cornea and lens sit toward the front and help focus light; the retina is the light-sensitive tissue at the back.
