Uterine histology
Make it clearer
The uterine wall has three layers. The endometrium forms the inner lining; the myometrium, composed of smooth muscle, forms the middle layer; and the perimetrium is the outer covering.
Each layer has a distinct structure. Picture one continuous wall organized into an inner lining, a central muscular region, and an outer covering.
In brief

Picture a wall with an inner lining, a central muscular region, and an outer covering.
The endometrium forms the inner lining, while the myometrium, composed of smooth muscle, forms the middle layer.
