Ovary
Make it clearer
The ovaries are paired gonads and endocrine organs. They are involved in reproduction and hormone production.
Each ovary has two main internal regions. The cortex contains follicles. The central medulla is made of loose connective tissue and contains major blood vessels. Picture a peripheral region with follicles and a central region with supporting tissue and vessels.
